Hamilton Bengals Set to Make Founders Cup Debut

The Hamilton Bengals Junior B Lacrosse Club is gearing up for their inaugural appearance at the Founders Cup, the national championship tournament for Junior B lacrosse in Canada. The tournament, slated for August 19-25, 2024, will bring together top teams from across the country to compete for the national title. 

The Bengals, representing the Hamilton Lacrosse Association, have been working diligently in preparation for this marquee event on the national lacrosse calendar. The team features a talented roster, led by Curtis Ward who notched an astounding 52 goals and 107 points this season.  "We're incredibly excited for this opportunity," said Jeff Dowling, head coach of the Bengals. "The Founders Cup is a major milestone for our program, and our players are determined to make Hamilton proud." 

The Bengals will face tough competition at the Founders Cup, but the team is confident they’ve assembled a group capable of rising to the occasion. The tournament will be an invaluable experience for the young players, providing them with the chance to learn from the best and to grow as athletes. 

The Hamilton Lacrosse Association and the entire Hamilton community are rallying behind the Bengals as they prepare for the Founders Cup. The team's debut at the national championship is a testament to the growing strength and talent of lacrosse in the region.
